“I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring.”
The David Bowie quote that many are reflecting on since his passing is surely true if he has brought his dark sense of humour with him to the great Hall of Fame in the sky.
The iconic singer’s latest album Blackstar and his last single Lazarus were hailed as his parting gifts, as the lyrics and music video took on a new poignancy.
But if his Twitter is anything to go by, it’s not the only gift he left behind.
In what is reminiscent of his everlasting wit, the last person the Rebel Rebel singer followed on Facebook is an account under the Twitter handle “God.”
Sooo the last account @DavidBowieReal followed on twitter was God @TheTweetOfGod#bowieRIP#DavidBowie#bowiepic.twitter.com/F254zt4AFQ

“God”‘s response to the honour is perfect.
David Bowie was the God I always wanted to be.
