Bad news from the Irish camp this morning.
While fans are still in full celebration mode after Ireland’s superb win over France in the Rugby World Cup on Sunday afternoon, there was some bad news from the team this morning.
Unfortunately, it has been confirmed that Irish flanker Peter O’Mahony has been ruled out of the remainder of the World Cup due to a knee injury sustained in yesterday’s Pool D clash.

The IRFU has yet to confirm the status of Johnny Sexton and Paul O’Connell who were both also injured during the game, with an update expected later today.
No decision as yet on any replacements. We’ll keep you updated on Paul and Johnny later today. #ShoulderToShoulder pic.twitter.com/A27bqlVWwz — Irish Rugby (@IrishRugby) October 12, 2015
