If red is your colour, you could be in luck.
For one weekend only one Scottish shopping centre is offering an exclusive discount for flame-haired consumers.
All redheaded shoppers at Union Square shopping centre in Aberdeen will have access to special money-off offers this Saturday and Sunday.
The promotion was inspired by Richard Macrae, who was given a handmade ginger discount card as a gag gift for his 30th birthday.
Macrae put the card to use in local stores, and managed to say hundreds of pounds by producing the fake card around his native city.
Ryan Manson, the general manager of Union Square shopping center, told the Evening Express that he thought Macrae’s fake discount card was so funny it fueled the idea for the ginger discount weekend. He said: “Richard’s tongue-in-cheek card made us laugh so much that we thought we should make the discount official — even if it’s for one weekend only… Ginger Aberdonians can eat and shop from participating retailers with fantastic discounts that are sure to keep them out of the red.”
