We knew it was coming, we just were hoping that the show bosses might have a change of mind and decide it wasn’t such a good idea. Although we know, at some point, we will end up watching at least one episode.
It is of course Celebrity Big Brother which kicks off on Channel 5 on January 3rd. If you’ve managed to avoid previous series, basically a load of ‘celebrities’ go into a big house to talk about themselves and do silly tasks.
Katie Price is one person who keeps getting mentioned.
But anyway, the rumour mill is currently in overdrive as to which stars will be moving into the house and as usual, there’s a rather interesting mix. Although we do have to admit that, unlike other years, we recognise quite a few of them. (Not sure whether that’s a poor reflection on us or the show!)
X-Factor-contestant-turned-television-presenter Rylan Clark is one of the names being thrown around quite a lot. So too is Katie Price who knows all about reality television from her time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
Rylan could be on the show but might be too busy with the X Factor tour.
Music legend Meatloaf is also reported to be in the frame and by the sounds of it he won’t be the only singer in there as Claire from Steps is another possible housemate. Finger crossed, if she does appear, that it doesn’t end up being a Tragedy! (We just couldn’t resist.)
Heidi Montag and hubby Spencer Pratt, of The Hills fame, could also be on our screens again. Not sure whether they included this project in their How to Be Famous book but we’re guessing probably not.
Rumours have it this fame-seeking couple might make an appearance.
Coronation Street stars Wendi Peters and Bruce Jones, also known as Les and Cilla Battersby, are rumoured to be heading for the house as well.
So that lot, along with the usual glamour model and some male eye candy, could potentially be one of the first things we see in the New Year. Anybody else happy to wait until January 3rd?
