She might have made her claim as the coach from hell in Glee, but Sue Sylvester was surprisingly sweet (and smart) when it came to the important things in life.
Sure she had her fun torturing Mr Schuester – but she was also all about the loyalty, friendship and standing up for yourself.
To mark Jane Lynch’s birthday, we want to celebrate 11 times Sue Sylvester taught us a life lesson:
Be true to yourself. You need to know (and respect) who you are.

Think before you speak. Words hurt. A lot.

You need to stand up for yourself. Be fearless.

But learn to recognise your anger…

And when to just stop.

Find a way to love your enemies. As Oscar Wilde said, “Always forgive your enemies – nothing annoys them so much”.

Always be there for those you love…
Don’t live by other’s expectations. Knowing it’s ok not to conform is EVERYTHING.

And it’s really not all about the material things.

Be brave. It’s not always easy…
Don’t be afraid to love yourself. You’re fabulous.

Because… That’s how Sue ‘c’s it…
