Students In Limerick Lure Small Dog To Its Death In Drunken Game

*Warning – If you are in any way sensitive, this is very upsetting

Local residents from College Court Drive in Castletroy reported that some drunken UL students lured a small dog to his death in a sick game.

In a letter written to the Limerick Leader local resident Charlie Cassey claimed the incident “sickened her to her core.”

The dog was curious about the students drinking in the estate and approached them, but the gang decided to play a game, throwing a ball back and forth across a street so the dog would fetch.

The students waited for a van to drive through the estate and the inevitable happened, the dog followed the ball and was knocked down by the van.

A horrified witness noticed that instead of helping the poor creature, the students looked on and laughed.

Student Union President from University Limerick Adam Moursy commented that the letter misrepresented most of the student population. “It is my role to protect the students of UL who have collectively had their reputations tarnished due to the alleged actions of a small number of students.

In a statement to the Limerick Leader, the University encouraged any residents living near students to contact their local garda station for any behaviour they deemed anti-social.
