Between long hours and hectic schedules, it’s no surprise that many of us feel the pressure when it comes to our jobs.
There are a number of things you can do to keep on top of things, from making lists to taking proper breaks but new research has come up with another way to boost your performance that is music to our weary ears!
A new study published in the journal of Neurobiology of Learning and Memory naps has found that taking a nap is good for your memory.
As part of the research, 41 students were taught 90 words and 120 unrelated word pairs such as “taxi milk”, before half were allowed to take a power nap and the other half watched a movie.
The group were then tested again and it was found that the students who napped were much better at remembering the words.
So, next time you fancy a little mid-day catnap, you’ve got the perfect excuse for your boss!
