We warn you, this may be the greatest (or at least sweetest) love story of all time.
Two three year olds walked down the aisle as a page boy and flower girl at a wedding. Little did they know they’d be taking a trip back down the aisle 20 years later… as man and wife.
Brittney and Briggs Fussy’s love story started in 1995, they just didn’t realise it.
While Brittney took the role as flower girl, Briggs was the page boy at his godmother’s wedding.
The pair were so cute on the day that both their mother’s took the same picture, one which would hang in both their homes when they met again 15 years later.
The couple crossed paths again when Briggs transferred to Brittney’s high school in ninth grade. It was only when Brittney heard her future husband’s name called out loud, that she realised it was likely the same boy she had known from her childhood.
After waiting 15 years, the pair didn’t rush into a relationship, and only became a couple in their senior year. Surviving college in different cities, Briggs said he returned home to their hometown in Minnesota because: “I knew I was going to marry her.”
As for their second trip down the aisle, the couple seemed to have a winning streak, with a ‘fairytale’ ceremony this weekend:
“It was wonderful. It’s a fairytale. As close to perfect as you can get.”
And that picture of the first time they met as three year olds?
It now hangs in their joint home.
Adorable.
