If you’re a regular Snapchat user, you’ll have noticed emojis appearing next to some of your contacts over the last couple of days.
This is because the mobile app has introduced a couple of updates, and the emoji feature is similar to the Best Friend idea that was panned last year.

The Best Friend list, which allowed any contact to see who their friends were snapping most frequently, had worried some users because of privacy concerns.
Unlike Best Friend lists, this new feature cannot be viewed publicly.
The new update includes six different emojis and if you don’t know Snapchat very well, we have a feeling this could get very complicated, very quickly.

In addition to this update, Snapchat has also added a new low-light camera which aims to improve photographs taken in darker environments.
