Snapchat has finally answered the prayers to our most annoying peeve with the app – allowing users to simply tap the screen once instead of holding down a finger on the screen to watch snaps or stories.
The new feature ‘Tap To View’ means you’ll be able to move your hand off a snap without losing the precious content in fleeting moments.
Speaking out about the new app, the team at Snapchat said:
“This means no more tired thumbs while watching a several-hundred-second Story… and a little getting used to for anyone who has been Snapchatting for a while.”
And for those looking for some extra Snapchat adventures, you can also try the new tool ‘Add Nearby’, which lets users add people in their close vicinity.
The new update will allow users to add people as friends with just one tap on your phone – opening the Snapchat story possibilities.
Nervous about who could be snapping from your phone?
Well the company behind the app have now added an authentication to make the app more secure. Users will now be able to enter a code sent to their smartphones as well as their password – protecting their app from being broken into from another phone.
So now you can be snap happy without over-exerting your thumb or being catfished in the process.
