The Sky News Breaking News account on Twitter has been hacked this morning, but a man who just might be the least imaginative hacked of all time.
Earlier this morning tweets from the account included such news stories as:
“Russian television reports that a CIA agent working undercover at U.S. Embassy has been detained in Moscow”
“Stuart Hazell jailed for life with a minimum term of 38 years for the murder of schoolgirl Tia Sharp”
And
“Actress Angelina Jolie reveals she has had a preventative double mastectomy due to high risk of contracting cancer”
But, at 11.53 this morning the big news was that Colin was here.
Mystery man Colin kept his message short and sweet, but found favour on the social networking site nonetheless, attracting almost 4,000 retweets within 8 minutes of his tweet being posted. No other tweets have been published from the account, which has over 900,000 followers, since.
UPDATE 12:27 – After just over half an hour of infamy, and his name trending on Twitter, Colin’s has now had his tweet removed from the account. Gone but not forgotten Colin, it was good while it lasted…
