You’ll probably be busy tomorrow so why not take it easy in front of the telly this evening?

Rebecca McKnight

Nothing says Christmas like carols, Home Alone and The Snowman although this version is a little different to the orginal!

Home Alone – RTÉ One (3.55pm)

A young boy is left at home accidentally when his whole family heads off for the holidays. But trouble ensues when a couple of burglars eye up the house. Macauley Culkin stars.

Carols from the Castle – RTÉ One (6.15pm)

Mary Kennedy presents an evening of music from Dublin castle. Special guests include Sinead O’Connor and Danny O’Reilly from The Coronas.

The Snowman and the Snowdog – Channel 4 (8.00pm)

While we wouldn’t encourage anyone to mess with a classic, we are intrigued to see this modern version about a boy whose snow creations come to life.

The Spice Girls Story: Viva Forever – UTV (8.30pm)

This programme takes a look back at the success of one of the biggest girl groups ever to grace the music scene, including the new musical Viva Forever.

Outnumbered Christmas Special – BBC One (9.35pm)

The Brockman family decide to throw a Christmas party for all their neighbours but as always, the night doesn’t exactly go to plan.
