So it’s all good news around these parts today. The wonderful Sherlock will be returning to our screens on New Year’s Day.
After two years of waiting, the mystery of how Sherlock is still alive will be solved by the BBC.
Today, the BBC sent an empty hearse around London with the date of the series return set out in flowers.

At the end of the last series, Sherlock jumped to his death from a building while the ever-faithful Watson watched on in horror.
The BBC have announced the first episode of the show will be aptly entitled The Empty Hearse.
The episode will be the first in a new three-part series, each episode of which is feature length. The second episode will air on the 5th January with the concluding part airing on the 12th of January.
8.8 million viewers tuned in to see the return of the second series, according to the Guardian, but that will most certainly be topped for the third series.
