Met Éireann have issued two wind warnings for today and tomorrow as strong winds are forecast in many areas.
A status orange warning is in effect for Galway, Leitrim, Sligo, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Donegal.
It is expected that winds could be as strong as 110 to 130km per hour in these counties.
Meanwhile, a status yellow warning is in place for counties Cavan, Roscommon, Tipperary, Cork and Waterford, with winds of 90 to 110km per hour expected in these areas.
The warnings have been in place since 6am on Friday morning and will last until midnight on Saturday night.
