Our love for chocolate may have been tested, but now we are sure it will never end.

Who could ever deny a delicious, mouth-watering chocolate dessert?

Nobody it seems. Reports say sales of traditional cocoa are booming across the country, but not because we are drinking more mugs of it.

Analysts say cocoa sales are up 7.5 per cent because it is used in traditional cake recipes made popular by cookery TV shows like “The Great British Bake Off” and others.

Figures in The Grocer magazine show cocoa’s success on the shop shelves is seriously heating up as sales of tea, coffee and hot chocolate barely stirred.

Susan Nash of Kraft Foods, owner of cocoa giant Cadbury’s, said; “It’s benefited from the renaissance that baking has enjoyed.”

And, we heard recently chocolate can be good for you, what more reason to get baking some chocolate goodies?

With the weather growing a bit colder and the evenings becoming a bit shorter, baking can be the perfect soothing activity for yourself or a bonding session for your family.
