Although Ryanair is widely recognised as a budget airline, it sounds like there’s going to be even better flight deals over the coming months.
According to The Irish Mirror, Ryanair flights will drop by eight per cent this winter and it’s believed that this will encourage other airlines to follow suit, resulting in a full-on price war.
Ryanair’s marketing chief Kenny Jacobs said: “The big drop has given airlines more financial firepower.
“It will be great for consumers as there will be a fares war. It will be very, very aggressive,” he added.
Lowering the fare costs is thought to be linked to the recent drop in oil prices.
Airlines have made considerable savings on fuel and this is thought to be the drive behind the ‘fares war’.
