‘Britain’s Got Talent’ star Ryan O’Shaughnessy has announced his talent show days are over, as the singer scores a No 1 hit in Ireland and Top 10 in the UK with his debut album.

The former ‘Fair City’ actor Ryan, aged 19, also competed on the RTÉ show ‘The Voice’ earlier on this year.

Ryan is said to be thrilled his self-titled record is doing well on both the shelves and online.

The Dubliner now wants to focus on writing more hits like ‘No Name’.

“I’m hoping I don’t have to go back to a talent show because I got what I set out to achieve by going for BGT, a platform for my music,” he said.

“I spent a lot of time putting this album together and gigging a lot and now I want to get back to song-writing.”

The star wowed the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judges and audience earlier this year as he sang a song he had written for an anonymous girl in front of millions.

The star also sparked controversy as he had appeared on RTÉ’s ‘The Voice’ just weeks before and was still held under their contract.
