Love/Hate will return to RTÉ’s screen with a bang this autumn following the death of John Boy last season.
The crime series, which stars former Misfits star Robert Sheehan, will thrill fans this season.
Peter Coonan, who plays ruthless gangster Fran, said: “I’d say there will be a few explosions, guns and drugs.”
The actor said he would greatly miss Hollywood actor Aiden Gillen who played John Boy in the drama.

“It was such a help to have someone like Aiden on board as you’re constantly going that this is a guy who’s had over 20 years of experience,” he said.
Susan Loughnane, who played John Boy’s girlfriend in the show, said she hopes to improve on what she has learnt from the actor.
“He teaches you a lot so you just try and take what you learnt and run with it,” she finished.
