REVEALED: The Luckiest Lotto Jackpot Counties In Ireland

May be worth a road trip.

Megan Cassidy

The Lotto is a hot topic at the moment.

Maybe it’s the January blues making us lust after a luxurious lifestyle, or perhaps it’s the fact that one lucky Irish person nabbed €66m in the Euromillions last week.

Now, The National Lottery have released a list detailing how many winning jackpot tickets have been sold in each county in the last thirty years.

Not surprisingly, Dublin came out on top by a long shot with 565 winning tickets sold, followed by Cork with 172, then Galway with 92 and Donegal with 87.

Interestingly, Louth, the smallest county, came in at fifth place with 75 winning tickets sold.

So we’re thinking statistically, if you take population sizes into account, Louth has had a pretty good track run.

Road trip anyone?
