For all of you lads and lassies out there thinking about getting engaged, there’s a new number one gem on the market that has been making headlines this week.
The Sunshine Ruby has officially become the world’s most expensive coloured gemstone as it sold at auction in Switzerland for a whopping $30 million (€26,715,900).
The sale has made it the most expensive gem which is not a diamond – so if you’ve got a couple of tens of million lying around, you know what to buy!
