Now, ladies football championship sponsor TG4 have attempted to the essence of that determination in one powerful – and much talked about – picture.
Pride and passion may be words that are bandied about a lot when it comes to the GAA, but for many, this advertisement truly sums up the dedication and love for the game that lies at the backbone of every team.
The picture has been getting an enormous reaction and has become a major talking point on Twitter this week and it’s not hard to see why.

It may just be one of the most powerful and effective advertisements for the ladies football championship we’ve ever seen.
UPDATE:
The picture provoked huge debate online during the week, with many fans not happy that the football championship was linked to pregnancy.
TG4 addressed comments on Twitter on Wednesday:
