And they say it’s a long way to Tipperary…
There’s nothing we like more than an impromptu weekend away, and though it can be a flurry of activity and ‘argh I forgot my toothbrush’, there’s nothing quite like escaping for a couple of days.
Well that’s exactly what one Her.ie reader Ciara Griffin was hoping to do this weekend, but it seems as though the powers that be were not all that interested in her plans.
Ciara, who is based in Galway, was hoping to make a speedy trip down to the kingdom of Kerry with friends this weekend.
However, without her own car and with the auld bus timetables not really suiting, desperate times called for desperate measures, and she ended up Googling flights to Kerry.
Unfortunately for her and her friends though… the journey was to take a lot longer than anticipated and had a few rather awkward stop offs – including one in London.
We think she should have just headed to London for the craic anyhow.
Primark on Oxford Street anyone?
(Oh and in case you’re wondering, she stayed and had the craic in Galway).
