The Phillippines has suffered massively due to the impact of Typhoon Haiyan with huge loss of life and massive amount of damage. The BBC are currently reporting that thousands of people may have died while hundreds of thousands have been displaced by the storm.
This photo of the typhoon was taken byone of the astronauts on board the International Space Station and it is absolutely jaw-dropping in its display of the enormity of the storm.
