You may have heard about Meryl Streep’s amazing rant at the National Review Board Awards just last week about the fact that Walt Disney being sexist and racist. Well, this letter certainly proves that he, and the company he created, were very sexist.
The letter was sent to a woman in 1938 who had applied for a job as an animator. Her family found the letter after she passed away and were amazed, both at the content and the fact that it preserved so well.
Her son Kevin Burg posted the letter to his Flickr account. It makes for amazing reading.
