Two little twin girls have garnered more than 25,000 Instagram followers in less than 24-hours, thanks to their weight-lifting mum.
Evie Mae and Aria Joy are the daughters of fitness and pregnancy workout guru Sophie Guidolin. The twins, who were welcomed into the world yesterday, both weighed 5 lbs each and it’s safe to say they’re the apple of their mum’s eye.
The weightlifter later set up a separate account for her girls – which has attracted more than 25,000 followers with just four uploaded snaps.
Guidolin revealed to fans that she was now sending off her twins’ placentas for DNA testing, to confirm whether or not they were identical:
Guidolin sparked controversy when snaps were uploaded of the expectant mum weight-training at 26 weeks pregnant.
Married to bodybuilder Nathan Wallace, the 26-year old defended her decision to keep exercising, previously stating:
“I certainly don’t push myself – I believe in listening to your body and if I want to rest for the day I will.
“My doctor and obstetrician are both happy and I’m always guided by my husband Nathan (a strength and conditioning coach) – that is good enough for me.”
Guidolin added:
“The negative comments, I believe, come out of fear and myths or old wives’ tales that women cannot do any exercise while pregnant – even when medical professionals are pushing for women to remain active.”
Since the arrival of their daughters, sweet updates of their lives include a snap from their nursery, as well as close up snaps of the girls with little pink patterned hats.
