Project Unbreakable is a photography project aiming to give a voice back to survivors of sexual assault.
The photo diary asked women who were survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse to pose for a photo holding a sign baring the words of their attackers.
The women involved took a brave step to speak out against their attackers, using the same words that once trapped them in the violence to share their voice.
Although we can’t imagine the strength it would take for a victim to step forward, you have to admire the bravery and determination of the participants who are choosing to share their voice to help heal others.
Speaking about the concept, 22-year-old photographer Grace Brown said:
“The mission of Project Unbreakable is to increase awareness of the issues surrounding sexual assault, child abuse, and domestic violence, and encourage the act of healing through art.”
