It’s easy to take things for granted.
While most of us have grown up using the internet, our old school days before broadband were filled with dial-up connections and the Encarta encyclopaedia.

For one elderly lady, the gift of the internet has given her a new lease of life.
Reddit user Leanentrep has been volunteering at a nursing home, teaching the community how to use computers and the internet.
A few weeks later, he came home to find a pretty special letter waiting for him.
Posting the message to Reddit, he wrote:
“I teach seniors at the senior home how to use computers and the internet. When I came in today, one of the ladys used MS word to write me this letter”:
Adorable.
