It’s not easy trying to be an adult.
If you’re married and take on the care and concern for two lives, we can only imagine that the hardship and worries, while shared, can be pretty troublesome.
So when one man was stopped recently, he admitted that he was concerned he had prevented his wife living the dream life.

Posted to the Humans of New York Facebook page, where ordinary people’s profiles are captured with a short paragraph of background history, one man opened his heart to the internet.
The unnamed man was quoted as saying:
“I’m the assistant manager in a nice restaurant. I’m happy with my job, but I work thirteen hours a day and I’m not able to save a lot of money. My wife is a beautiful woman, and sometimes I feel guilty that she chose me. I feel a lot of responsibility for the stress that she’s under. She could have been with a much wealthier man. Instead she’s having to worry about whether we have enough money to have kids.”
Spotting her husband’s profile being featured, Aly Petrides decided to comment on the photo (just in case there was any doubt this man was in a loving relationship):
“I’m the wife and I couldn’t be more proud or more in love with this Human of New York. I adore you to the moon and back my darling and I look forward to all the ups and downs life brings us.”
While money can buy you a lot of things, this kind of love and understanding is priceless.
