We feel claustrophobic just looking at it.
Somehow, it’s a week before Christmas and like half the country, we all realised this week we haven’t done an ounce of Christmas shopping.
So if you were heading into the city centre in the hopes of blitzing through the shops today, you were probably greeted to a sea of people in the same frantic search of Santa presents.
Spotted by one shopper Jonathan Lambert, Dublin’s Mary Street was the stuff of nightmares as people shuffled from stalls to shops in a desperate attempt to grab last minute presents.
With just days to go before the big day, it’s expected Dublin city centre and local shopping centres will be jam packed with last minute shoppers over the coming days.
Best advice for avoiding the queues?
Reserve any items in advance, head in for the shops opening and go to the ATM before you hit the shops to avoid queues or faulty card machines.
Oh and wear comfy shoes… you’ll need them by the looks of it.
