Single men need to “run and hide”.
At least that’s the advice issued to the locals around Naas, thanks to the witty Facebook status of the Garda district.
For those who are shaking their heads in confusion, today just happens to mark a leap year – the rare occasion that comes once every four years and the date which suggests a woman can propose to a man in a twist of tradition that exists in Ireland and the UK.
So in the wake of a series of unprecedented attacks almost ‘four years ago’ to the day, the Naas Garda district decided to warn single men of any ‘women who may approach them in a sinister fashion’.
It’s fair to say, we’re pretty sure they got the memo.
We just hope there hasn’t been a mass-exodus in the Kildare area…
