Facebook celebrates its twelfth birthday this week.
And it has achieved a LOT since its conception – changing how we interact, how we share information and basically changing the world.
If you’ve seen The Social Network starring Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg, you’ll know that the original Facebook was conceived as an online college network, allowing users to “search for people at your school”, “Find out who are in your classes”, and “look up your friends’ friends.”
Here’s what it looked like when it was launched on February 4th, 2004.
The Facebook “wall” was only introduced in September 2004, and photo sharing was introduced a year later in September 2005.
Now boasting over 1.4 billion users, the social media site has come a LONG way from its humble beginnings.
