A shocking photo which shows a child sitting on the bent -back windscreen wiper of a moving Luas has emerged today.

Dervla Brophy, Communications manager for Transdev, the company which operates the Luas, stated that this issue is “serious”.
Speaking to the Irish Independent, she said:
“This is a very serious and potentially fatal practice that needs to be stamped out.
“The incident captured in the photograph was reported to gardai, and they have in turn spoken to the youngster’s parents.
“We are doing all that we can to reduce scutting on trams, but ask the public to report any incidents that they may witness.”
