For anyone going house hunting, you’ll know it’s a bit of a mixed bag.

Unless you’re lucky, you probably need to pencil in a few months of traipsing along to numerous showings, just to make up your mind.

So if you found a house that looked like an ideal fit, and in your price range, chances are you’d be pretty happy right?

Well Ray White Australia estate agency has faced a backlash after photoshopping a property on their books.

According to indy100, the images caused quite a stir for prospective buyers, who turned up to quite a different viewpoint from what had originally piqued their interest.

While we might expect a greener lawn, or maybe even a touch of computer paint to the wall, people were likely surprised when they turned up to view this house…

And were greeted with this reality (yes, that’s a water tower in the back garden)…

Defending their original images online, a spokesman for Ray White Australia said:

“The photos were taken by a previous agent and given to us by the owner, who didn’t want to pay for new images to be taken.

“The address is available and most people will search for the property on Google Maps, where the water tower is very obvious. We are not trying to trick anyone or hide anything. Anyone who rings up, I tell them about it straight away.”

So, they now changed their images again:

We guess some people just never learn.
