PIC: A 23-Year Old Got The Greatest Gift Ever From A Stranger After This Homemade Sign

Talk about paying it forward.

A 23-year old battling lupus and kidney failure has been given a kidney transplant from a total stranger – after he spotted a sign in her car window.

Chrintine Royles from Portland, Maine was diagnosed earlier this year with lupus, later being placed on a waiting list of 100,000 people for a kidney transplant.

When the 23-year old discovered less than 17,000 people receive a kidney donation from this list each year, she decided to take fate into her own hands.

Painting across the rear window in her car, Royles wrote:

And it seems like her idea worked.

Josh Dall-Leighton and his wife were driving behind Christine’s car when he spotted the sign.

Spotting the sign, Josh told his local paper the Portland Press Herald, he hoped that if his wife or children ever needed a kidney when he wasn’t a match, that someone would reach out to them.

Having undergone tests, it now turns out Josh is a strong potential match for the transplant, and he plans to donate his kidney to help Christine overcome her health problems.

Josh added that he wants his sons to know that:

“… if somebody needs help, you do whatever you can to help them. I want them to know these aren’t just words I’m telling them. That I actually did something to help somebody.”

Hero.
