There’s nothing quite like an Irish mammy’s love.
Irish mammies are a bunch of legends as we all know, and a new survey this week has shown that they’re even more supportive of us all then we could have imagined.
Research carried out by LinkedIn shows that 63 per cent of Irish mammies think that their son or daughter deserves a promotion in work.
The findings show though that while a high percentage may think we all should be storming up the career ladder, 32 per cent did not want to interfere while 21 per cent believed that their child would be annoyed if they offered advise.
That doesn’t deter them being our number one cheerleaders though, as eight out of ten mammies (78 per cent) said they are very proud of their son or daughter’s career choice.
The research also showed however that there is a parenting gap when it comes to Irish parents giving career advise to their grown children.
