Every week we are asking you to nominate a Woman of the Week, for one reason or another she’s special to you and we want to know all about her.
Mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, friends… the list of special women goes on and on.
These ladies deserve a little recognition and Littlewoods Ireland want to present them with a gift that they can use to treat themselves.
Every week, we have a €100 voucher for Littlewoods Ireland to give away to the most deserving woman so keep your nominations coming!
This week, Annmarie Brannigan is the winner of the voucher.
She was nominated by her friend and work colleague Deirdre Costello, who tells us in her own words, why Annmarie is a deserving winner.
“I’m lucky to call Annmarie Brannigan a friend as she is truly inspirational. She’s a wonderful friend, a wonderful daughter and a wonderful work colleague.
“Annmarie is very kind and caring and has always been there for everyone. She works full time, Monday to Friday, and is raising her three-year-old daughter Chloe to be an incredible, polite, intelligent, friendly and happy little girl.”
“Roughly three months ago Annmarie’s dad got very sick and has since been in intensive care. There was a few weeks there where it was hit and miss whether he would survive and as both her brothers live abroad ( one in Boston and one in Australia) Annmarie once again stepped up to the mark by herself.”

Annamarie is our woman of the week and winner of a €100 Littlewoods Ireland voucher
“She organised his finances, visited him every day after work, researched his condition and questioned nurses and doctors to ensure he got the very best care.”
“With no one to lean on, this incredible woman did it all with a positive outlook. Many would have given up but she fought for him and her family right down to making sure his car did not miss an NCT test.”
“Chloe also became ill with chicken pox recently, but still Annmarie kept on going.”
“She is the manager of a hotel in Rathmines and so, has plenty of work pressures but she has continued on tirelessly with her head held high.”
“I witnessed this woman carry on with such courage and self-respect that I myself hold her in the highest regard.”
“With all she is going through she still manages to be there for all her friends with a smile and a helping hand, a kind word and a shoulder to cry on.”
“I understand there are plenty of courageous women out there and this email is only the tip of the iceberg but Annmarie is one in a million and deserves to be recognised for everything she has gone through with such grace and dignity these last few months.”
We really hope Annmarie enjoys her €100 voucher, and if you have someone in mind for our Woman Of The Week, please get in touch.
Readers should submit their entries to info@her.ie and should also include an image of their nominated woman.
