One Direction star Zayn Malik has deleted his Twitter account, saying he’s had enough of the abusive messages he was receiving on a daily basis.
The singer, who is dating Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, said that he was “sick of all the useless opinions and hate”.
The ‘X-Factor’ contestant shot to fame with the show-made band, One Direction. The band members have their own individual Twitter accounts, as well as that of the band.
In his final online messages on the micro-blogging site, Zayn, 19, wrote to his millions of followers: “The reason I don’t tweet as much as I use to, is because I’m sick of all the useless opinions and hate that I get daily. Goodbye Twitter.
“Fans that have something to say can tweet me on the one direction account.”

Zayn’s first and last tweets…
Zayn joins a long list of celebrities who are deciding to leave the micro-blogging site as a result of the abuse they receive from ‘internet trolls’ on a daily basis.
Actor Alec Baldwin quit the site last year. Singer Miley also left the site, explaining her reasons to fans through a 1:46 minute rap on Youtube in 2009. Needless to say, she’s back, tweeting photos of herself every second hour.
