Forget about flying without wings, Nicky Byrne is going to be dancing without wings on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The former Westlife star has been in the frame to appear on the BBC show, which starts next month, for a while but now it seems that an official offer has been made and accepted by the singer.
Nicky knows a thing or two about dancing from his days in Westlife.
Since his band hung up their hats earlier this year Nicky has expressed a desire to do more work on the small screen. If the rumours are true, this offer will see him do just that.
According to the Irish Independent this morning both Nicky and his management team are excited about the news which will see him take to the dance floor and compete against other celebrities including Kimberley Walsh, Paul Hollywood and Fern Britton.
Although you would think that the 33 year old would have a bit of an advantage over some of the other contestants what with his hip-shaking days in Westlife.
