There’s great drying out there.

If there’s one thing we know for certain about us Irish it’s that we love nothing better than having a chat about the weather.

From being the perfect ice breaker to filling in awkward silences, the weather is one of the most fail-safe topics in the country that is sure to get a reaction.

Being too cold, too miserable or too hot (rarely, unfortunately) to it being a grand soft day out there, there’s a perception that the weather is actually ALL we talk about here on the Emerald Isle.

Indeed, a new survey by Ipsos MRBI and Dulux Weathershield appears to back this up somewhat as they found that 60% of people talk about the weather twice a day, while 25% of people talk about the weather at least four times a day.

The research also revealed that 62% of Irish people believe every forecast that they hear about on TV or see online. *heads to shop to buy BBQ for ‘scorcher’ of weekend said to be in store*.
