Tonight a telesales worker, an electrician, a cage fighter and a broker will be trying to impress one of the 30 single ladies but of course there’s no guarantee that any of them will keep their lights on. Also, Paddy McGuinness takes a look back at how last week’s couples got on.

The X Factor – TV3 (8:20pm)
It’s really hotting up on the X Factor as we draw closer to Christmas. Gary Barlow will be relieved that he didn’t lose another act in the competition after Kye Sones survived on Sunday night but we have a feeling that the claws will be out again this evening among the judging panel.

The Thick of It – BBC Two (9:30pm)
