A mother in Yorkshire has shared a images of her ill baby in an effort to warn parents of the dangers of well-wishers’ kisses.
Clare Henderson from Doncaster claims that her baby could have died after contracting the herpes virus from a visitor.

She shared the images to Facebook in order to warn people of the possible risks when babies are in close contact with many people.
She warned: “Before 3 months old a baby cannot fight the herpes virus. If a baby contracts this it can cause liver and brain damage and lead to death.
“I know this sounds like I am scaremongering but if my friend had not told me about this my baby girl could have been very seriously ill.”

The newborn was put on anti-viral drip for five days, and is now reportedly on the mend and doing well.
