McKenna Pilling is a student at Utah university and before she moved out, her mother decided to pay her a surprise visit.
Deanna, the 18-year-old’s mom, walked into what she thought was her daughter’s room and decided to have a lie-down while waiting for her.
However, after texting her with a photo, both of them realised that Deanna was in the wrong room and the resulting messages are brilliant, particularly “I am in the wrong dorm room omg”.
It was so funny that McKenna shared screen grabs of the selfie to her Twitter account with the caption “Momma Piling’s at it again”.

Speaking to Buzzfeed, McKenna said that originally it was just meant as a joke between family and friends “but once it got bigger and bigger we just couldn’t stop laughing because it was so unexpected”.
Her tweet quickly went viral, with almost 19,000 retweets at present, and the story has been shared on numerous websites around the world.
To be fair, Deanna’s face is priceless.
