Okay ladies, we have a confession to make – we are shamefully addicted to Geordie Shore. Hands up if you’re in the same boat.
The drama, the hook ups, the fights – we just can’t help it, we love it all. Needless to say, we were overjoyed when we heard that those smart telly type people at MTV have another programme up their sleeves for September.
(Actually, overjoyed is too tame a word – a collective ‘whoop!’ pretty much went up around the office…)
Anyway, ladies, have you heard about The Valleys yet? We’ll put it to you this way – it’s MTV’s latest reality television show and it’s set in the wild hills of the Welsh Valleys. So basically it’s like Geordie Shore in wellies. We love it already!
According to reports, MTV has already gathered a group of party loving twenty-somethings. The group includes a Beyoncé lookalike, a rugby player, a champion kick boxer and a law student. It’s a diverse mix, so you can only imagine the kind of drama that will probably take place.
Okay, we will admit that it sounds a lot like Geordie Shore, but MTV have added a twist to this new programme. The cast are all ambitious wannabes who want to make a name for themselves in the worlds of promotions and, ahem, glamour modelling. In order to help them achieve their dreams, MTV is providing them with the help of two mentors.
The Valleys will be hitting our television screens in September, but what do you think? We’re picturing vicious competition, a few fights and of course, some hilarious antics that just shouldn’t be seen on television…
