Always late? Make life easier for yourself
If you’re the type of person who is always running late, why not turn over a new leaf for 2013 and go about making your life a bit easier for yourself?
In many cases, running late is caused by a lack of planning. If you’re determined to stop hitting your snooze button or constantly apologizing to your boss because you’re late, then why not try getting yourself ready for work the night before?
Before you go to bed, spend twenty minutes organising yourself. Put everything you’ll need for the following day in your handbag and put your bag, your coat, your keys and your shoes by the front door. Leave out the clothes that you’re planning on wearing, time your immersion so the water will be hot for your morning shower and leave out the dishes that you’ll need for your breakfast.
If you want to be super-efficient, you can even make your lunch the night before to save you some precious minutes in the morning.
A little fore-planning means that you’ll start your morning off in a calm state because everything you need will be straight to hand. You’ll save yourself a lot of time and hardship in the long run, so a little preparation is definitely worth it.

Are you a day or a night person? Plan accordingly and reap the benefits!
Are you the type of person who springs out of bed in the morning, full of energy for the day ahead? Or are you more of a night out? Would you happily stay up working until the wee hours if you had to?
By figuring out what kind of person you are, you can plan your day and harness the power of your productivity. For example, if you’re a definite morning person, try to get all the important tasks you need to get done first thing. You’ll be riding high on the power of momentum and you’ll probably surprise yourself by crossing even more off your ‘to do’ list than you originally planned.
Likewise, if you’re more of a night person, try scheduling all your important meetings and working on big projects in the evening.
By doing this, you’ll be working with your internal body clock rather than against it. This means that you’ll power through errands and be a lot more productive. Fact.

Power through procrastination
Procrastination is something that affects us all at various points throughout our lifetime. So how do you deal with it? Well, to be honest, the best way to get rid of procrastination is to simply power through it.
When you find yourself continually putting off something that needs to get done, tell yourself that you’re going to sit down and work on it for one hour – that’s all. Believe us, the hour will fly by and when you see how much you’ve accomplished in such a short space of time, you’ll be far more likely to stay where you are and work through it until you’re finished.
