With the sad news on Monday evening that Peaches Geldof had passed away at the very young age of 25, her family faced a decision on whether to publish her last column for Mother & Baby Magazine.
Peaches was employed by the magazine for a parenting column at the beginning of this year and had been documenting her life with her two young sons, Astala and Phaedra.
The young mother’s last column was due to be published this week, but with the permission of her family, Mother & Baby Magazine decided to go ahead with the piece as a tribute to Peaches.

The piece makes for heartbreaking reading with Peaches declaring that she had finally found the perfect balance with life “Right now life is good. And being a mum is the best part of it.”
Geldof also spoke of her concern about no longer spending nights out partying and the fact that some of her “fair-weather” friends had abandoned her.
However, what shines through is the love for her children: “when I had two wailing, smiling, joyful little blobs of waddling pink flesh, they became my entire existence, and saved me from one of pure apathy.”
This is an incredibly sad read. You can read the full column here.
