National forecaster Met Éireann has issued a yellow weather warning for the next two days.

According to the weather experts, winds will reach “reach gale force in exposed Atlantic coastal areas” tomorrow.

The coastline from Valentia to Slyne Head to Malin Head will be worst affected with winds expected to reach up to 100 km per hour.

The yellow weather warning was issued at 1pm today and is expected to remain in place for at least 48 hours.

“It will be very blustery on Tuesday but by Wednesday just moderate southwesterly breezes will remain” said a Met Éireann spokesperson.

The rest of the week will see widespread shows accompanied by sunny spells so that unpredictable weather we’re experiencing lately isn’t about to let up anytime soon.

Temperatures will be between 11 and 15 degrees so it looks like a windy, wet and warm week ahead.
