Meet the Man that has quit his job to go travelling with his cat

Dog is supposedly man’s best friend, however, according to Australian native Richard East, a cat bodes for a more than promising partner.

Richard East was working a regular, corporate job when he suddenly decided to leave a relatively comfortable existence for a life on the road in Australia – with none other than his cat, Willow, and a campervan.

After arriving in Queensland, East told Mashable:

“I wasn’t happy at work.”

“… I was at work for 10 years, and I needed a change. I didn’t want to go overseas for six months, and then return to a similar job, with the same situation. That’s why the van came in, so I could make a change for the longer term.”

The simple travelling life has treated East and Willow well, where the outdoors have become their domain, living comfortably with no burdens or demands.

We have been doing a lot of driving the past week and have almost made it to Mt Isa. I want to share with you some of the incredibly flat landscapes we have been passing through, and of course the day ends with Willow getting some tummy rubs.

The pictures of their journey are just breathtakingly beautiful and serve to remind people that there’s more to life than your daily 9-to-5 job.

I don’t know about you but I’m suddenly itching for a holiday…
