Kinder Surprise (yes, those wonderfully milky chocolate eggs with a FREE toy inside) are actually illegal in the USA.
The Food and Drug Administration have said that the “non-nutritive object” poses a choking hazard, Consumerist.com reports.
Border protection and airport security have apparently spent years taking the chocolate eggs off excited grandparents, babysitters, parents and relatives travelling over the Canada-US border with the intention to visit friends or family and present the kids with an innocent Kinder Surprise.
But a new design has beaten the Food and Drug Administration (take THAT FDA!).

Choco Treasure has outwitted them all. The egg gets around the rule by having two egg halves that wrap aorund a toy capsule that is fully visible. So, apparently, you are extremely unlikely to try to eat it.
