JK Rowling is set to take on a new sports writing job – penning a series of match reports from the fictional Quidditch World Cup.
The Harry Potter creator will regularly update fans of the books on developments from the tournament, which first featured in her books about the teenage wizard.
The match reports will be available on the Pottermore website, with favourite characters from the books expected to feature in the author’s newest tales.
Quidditch – a fictional sport played by the student wizards in the Harry Potter series – is so popular that fans have attempted to recreate the sport using bicycles and unicycles. There’s even a host of colleges that now listed the sport to their teams lists.
Whatever floats your boat… or broomstick.
