Jessie J has finally confirmed that she will return to the UK version of The Voice after months of speculation.
The singer took to Twitter to tell her fans the news. She tweeted: ‘I WILL be a coach on the 2nd series of The Voice UK!’
She then went on to warn her followers that they shouldn’t trust everything they read: ‘As I have always said. Unless you hear it from me – Don’t always believe what you read! Can’t wait!’
The first series of the programme, which aired earlier this year on the BBC, started with very good ratings but numbers started to fall as the show went on.
Jessie is the first of the four original coaches to confirm her return to the show, scheduled for next year.
It is unclear as to whether Tom Jones, Danny O’Donoghue or Will.i.am will join her on the panel.
Rumours have it that Danny and Will.i.am are keen while Tom isn’t. There have also been whispers about Annie Lennox joining the team.
